Inspired by roadside oddities, thrift store finds, old motels, early 2000s DIY culture, our high desert home and our lowlife friends, Power and Light Press goods are for anyone who moves through life to the beat of a lovable but slightly fucked up drummer. We print letterpress because we love the craft and believe in making high quality goods the old fashioned way. But our cards are for everybody (haha, ok not everybody, but they're not just for letterpress aficionados). We want our cards to connect with you because of the humor and sentiment... or lack thereof. The fact that they're printed on 100 year old presses is really none of your business. JK. But maybe that's not the most important part. Maybe that's just the cherry on top of our weird little banana split.
Our print shop and retail store are located in an old car dealership in downtown Silver City, New Mexico, a small town tucked into the mountains, where 10,000 or so ranchers, miners, hippies and weirdos live in relative harmony and geographic isolation. It's not easy to get here, and that's just the way we like it.
