No longer confined to the realm of sports teams and tourist traps, pennants are a fun way to show your love and support for your weird hobbies, your pets, or can simply be a delivery method for any short, punchy message. In this workshop, BT Livermore will guide you in the creation of your own custom pennant to take home with you. Workshop attendees will first learn layout, design, and lettering techniques appropriate for pennants, and then will be able to create their own pennant using a combination of felt, thread, and other items. Various colors of felt and all other materials will be provided. You just need to come with an idea or two for your pennant you want to create!
BT Livermore is an artist and designer currently living in Butte, Montana. Their work ranges from printmaking, sign painting, illustration, woodwork, and fabric items; usually full of humorous messaging and handmade lettering. BT also manages a community printmaking studio as part of the Imagine Butte Resource Center, a non-profit art space in Butte, and is helping organize a large makerspace there as well. When not making stuff, BT is usually planning out new things to make over a hot cup of coffee.
